Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Please be in prayer for the following individuals in our region:

Sandy Winn Is been back in the hospital since Sunday Morning. She has infection inside by the incision drain, pneumonia and a kidney infection and her temp got as high as 103.5 Sunday evening. She still has her sense of humor. Thanks be to God.

Sherrill Morris’ 2 year old niece, Ember is fighting for her life. She is suffering lots of complications from 4th degree burns. Sherrill is praising God for miracles. As of Monday:

God is good! I could tell you all about Ember’s surgery today, inserting the needed components for a G-Tube feeding system (long term but temporary hopefully) and finding a little damage in the colon that had been hiding behind the liver. And that her temp and breathing are a bit high, but her blood pressure is still good holding its own with out medication.

I could sober us all up by saying the unknown amount of brain damage is still the biggest question for quality of life.

But what I want to shout is that God is good! The blood work is showing that she is beating those two blood infections!! They are not completely wiped out yet, but the cultures that showed growth immediately are now taking 12-18 hours to begin showing it!! This is more than amazing.

On Saturday we had been informed that she had the second infection and how it is fatal to 50% of patients who have much less damage or illness than Ember.

It feels like answered prayers to me. We feel the love friends and I hope to get the time to respond to each of your well wishes soon.

Thanks be to God for all God is doing!

Please keep praying for them, the medical teams and their families.

Thank you for the gift of your prayers!

Grace and peace be with you and your family,

Rev. Joan Bell-Haynes and Regional Staff
