FCC Update

Have you had a "hallelujah" moment this week?  I've heard wonderful stories about upcoming trips, excitement shared with grandchildren, appreciation of beautiful weather, projects completed (including a lovely new table that you'll see Sunday morning in worship).
Personally, I've been blessed with blooming daffodils on my desk and birthday greetings.  (I'll turn 51 on Sat.)
Are you ready for an alleluja?  Come to worship THIS Sunday and BRING A FRIEND!
We'll have an ice cream social after second service, hosted by the FCC Elders and featuring the top 3 flavors of Sloans ice cream!  (If you come to chapel, be sure to stop back by around 11:30 a.m. to enjoy a cup or cone.)  Easter is just around the corner (believe it or not) - and that's a great time to think about inviting family, friends, neighbors, coworkers or anyone you know who doesn't have a church home to come join us in worship!  Why wait?  Invite someone this week to worship and the ice cream social - then it'll be easy for you to invite them back on April 1st for Resurrection Sunday (a.k.a. Easter).  Come share the JOY of fellowship at FCC!
Reminder about tamale sales - if you ordered tamales, they'll be here for you to pick up this Sunday between 9 and 10 a.m. ($18 per dozen).  If you missed the chance to order - email me today and we may still be able to add you to the list as the immigrant family we're working with hasn't yet made the tamales.
Prayer concerns: in addition to those we lifted up on Sunday, please pray for Jacquie Cook whose cousin passed away, MaryLee Stinson (one of the upstairs quilters) who's been diagnosed with cancer, our homebound & elderly members, and those who need to know God loves them.
Seniors SAFE program:
Reveille Rotary and the Casper Fire Department work together to install FREE smoke alarms, night lights, carbon monoxide alarm and light bulbs to Casper seniors.  They also have free smoke alarms for HEARING IMPAIRED.  If you know a senior that would benefit from this program, contact Debbie Mestas to email you an application form.  The deadline is  MARCH 16th.  The program is totally FREE.

NOTE ABOUT CALLING YOUR PASTOR - I need to let you know, my 5 year old cell phone DIED this week.  I have a new one on order but will not have access to any calls or text messages until late Friday.  You are welcome to call the church office to reach me during the day or leave a message for me after hours.  In case of an emergency, you may leave a message for me on Charles' cell #258-6113.  I will have the same cell number up and running again in just a few days.  I apologize (on behalf of Verizon) for any inconvenience this may cause you.

See you soon for Wed. evening Lenten vespers and our weekly soup supper tonight.
-Pastor Cynthia
