Description:
This commission maintains relationships with other churches, clubs, social service agencies and groups involved with charity or benevolent work or services. They support the needs of various community organizations in Casper and Natrona County, enlist the support of the congregation in response to special needs as they arise, and maintain contact with church members serving in the armed forces, if applicable. They Encourage members to acquaint themselves with service agencies in the community that may be helpful in the work of the Commission, and plan to assist with special projects, such as CROP Walk, Blanket Sunday, and providing monthly treats for the Youth Homes.
Volunteer Opportunities: Join the annual CROP Walk to fight hunger. Help prepare & serve a meal at the Central Wyoming Rescue Mission. Provide "treats" for Hemry/Mills Home, Youth Crisis Center or the church nursery. Help with a Habitat for Humanity house-build. Go on a mission trip. Serve on the Social Action commission. Share stories of other volunteer hours in the community (such as at hospice, with the Scouts, at Meals on Wheels & much more....)
